Pembina Valley Venture Challenge is a Business Plan competition that is similar to the CBC Television show "Dragons' Den".

Contestants must create a business plan for a new business concept and pitch it before a panel of 5 judges. The pitch date is November 2nd, 2011 and will be held at the Access Event Centre in Morden, MB.  All businesses starting in the Community Futures Heartland, Community Futures Triple R, and Pembina Valley Development Corporation  regions are eligible to apply.

Prizes:

   
  The 1st Place winner will receive $3500 cash to help start their new venture, plus 2 hours of donated time from each of the 5
        professional judges. Each judge is an expert in their own field of; Marketing, Finance, Law, Accounting, and General Business.

     • 2nd Place winner will receive $2500 cash to help start their new venture, plus 1 hour of donated time from each of the 5 professional
        judges

     • 3rd Place winner will receive $1000 cash to help start their new venture.
